Culver City Police Department, in conjunction with the Culver City Fire Department and Culver City High School, will be holding training at Culver City High School. The exercise, in which police, fire and school personnel will train for a potential on-campus shooter and other emergencies, will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from August 6 through the August 9.
The training will include the use of sirens, bull horns, and simulated gun fire, so please don’t be alarmed if you hear such noise coming from the high school on those dates and times.
“This exercise has been cooperatively planned and will enable CCUSD and CCPD achieve our shared goal of practicing for situations which we hope will never occur,” said Superintendent Dave LaRose. “Still, being prepared, communicating effectively and executing our plans under fire could save lives.”
LaRose said all site administrators, including principals and assistant principals, from throughout the District will be participating in the training.
