Police Blotter – Gun Used in Robbery

Crime Blotter for April 30th through May 6th.
Car Burglary:
On April 30, 2013 at 5:05 pm, a victim called the police department to report her 2008 Lexus was burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 8600 block of Washington Boulevard at 9:30 am. When she returned at 5:00 pm she discovered the driver’s side passenger window had been broken out and her property missing.
Forgery:
On May 1, 2013 at 2:30 pm, a victim called the police department to report she was a victim of forgery. The victim said she was reviewing her bank statement and noticed her account was overdrawn. She went to the bank and discovered two of her checks had been altered and cashed by an unknown person.
Grand Theft:
On May 2, 2013 at 3:00 pm, a victim came to the police department to report she was a victim of grand theft. The victim said she was approached by a subject in the 4100 block of Elenda Street on May 1, 2013 at 3:00 pm. The subject told her he was fixing a neighbor’s fence and would she like an estimate to repair her fence. The victim showed the subject her fence and left her home. At 9:00 pm, she discovered her property was missing in her home.
Theft:
On May 4, 2013 at 7:15 pm, officers responded to the 5600 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a theft investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who told them the following; he was working when he saw a male Black, 5”10, 160-170 lbs, wearing a white shirt and black jeans running toward the exit. The suspect had removed a tablet from the display case and fled the location.
Robbery:
On May 5, 2013 at 2:55 pm, officers responded to the 12600 block of Washington Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she was approached by the suspect who entered the location and produced a handgun and demanded the money. The victim fearing for her safety gave the suspect the cash and he fled the location. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic, medium build, black hair, wearing a blue jacket and in his 20’s.
