Those Culver City Chamber of Commerce members know how (and where) to network! Their next Mixer will take place at Coolhaus – “haus of architectural sammies.” That translates to a description of their dazzling ice cream sandwiches that are all-natural, handmade and organic whenever possible. Their dairy is sustainably produced and uses local and seasonal farmer’s market fresh ingredients. Natasha Case, owner of Coolhaus, invites all Chamber members and guests to her storefront location at 8588 Washington Blvd this Wednesday, April 24 for great networking! Tastings will include their cookies (made with love) with over a dozen unique ice cream flavors to experience while sipping champagne. The event takes place this Wednesday, April 24 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The cost is $15.00 prepaid; $20.00 at the door. For reservations, call the Chamber Office at (310) 287-3850. Street parking only.

The Culver-Palms Family YMCA encourages families to “Get a JUMP on Summer” this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 27 and 28, at the Center Court of Westfield Culver City mall. It’s the Y’s 20th Annual Healthy Kids Day, and from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. both days you’ll enjoy kids’ ZUMBA, hula, hip hop and cardio dance, a Wacky Monkey obstacle course requiring crawling, climbing and balancing, a kids’ Picasso group art project creating a large mosaic, arts, crafts, and games at a mock mountain campsite, basketball toss, and learning about healthy snacks while assembling personal trail mix combinations. YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day® is the largest health day for children and families in America, celebrating kids’ health and teaching healthy habits for kids and families, encouraging active play, and – hopefully – inspiring a lifetime love of physical activity. It’s free – so come and enjoy!
