Calling all teachers! Meet up at the Mayme Clayton Library and Museum fora special breakfast and conversation with the creators of the 30 Mosques & 30 Days Ramadan project, Bassam Tariq and Aman Ali. Saturday March 30, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, this unique teacher workshop Teriq and Ali will present their new interactive educational curriculum Muslims in America: 30 Days Ramadan Lesson Plan.
Photographer Bassam Tariq and comedian Aman Ali crisscrossed the United States visiting 30 mosques during the month of Ramadan sharing their experiences online. During their trek they created original videos that capture stories of the Muslim experience, prayer, fasting, music and popular culture. The result is Muslims in America: 30 Days Ramadan. The work is a dynamic patchwork of images and ideas that take a personal look at Muslim culture in the U.S. today. This event is presented by: ITVS, MCLM,PBS SoCal, and the Council on American-Islamic Relations-Greater Los Angeles Area (CAIR-LA).
