Balfour Beatty Construction and Culver City Unified School District are proud to announce that the New Synthetic Field and Track at Culver City High School is about to break ground!
“Our athletic fields at the middle school-high school complex are used by literally thousands of students each and every week,” said CCUSD Board of Education President Kathy Paspalis. “I’m thrilled that the field renovations are finally underway, and large portions of the projects will be up and running for the first day of the 2013-14 academic year.”
Balfour Beatty Construction is pleased to be the District’s new general contracting partner for this project and to work alongside the District’s selected architect, Westberg + White. The company’s scope of work includes constructing a new synthetic grass football field and a new synthetic track at Culver City High School. In addition to this project, the project team will be working with the District’s solar consultant and Westberg + White to assist with the coordination of the future solar project at Culver City High School, Culver City Middle School, and Farragut Elementary School.
“We are very happy to be moving ahead with the start of construction of our Athletic Fields Renovation,” said Mike Reynolds, CCUSD’s Assistant Superintendent, Business Services. “Our construction management firm, Balfour Beatty, continues to provide the highest levels of support and service in every aspect of this major project.”
Balfour Beatty Construction has a proven track record in successfully delivering similar athletic track and field construction projects for a large number of school districts statewide. Not only does the company intend on being good neighbors and partners by staying in tune with the needs and concerns of the community, it also looks forward to working closely with Culver City Unified School District and running a clean and safe job for everyone. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and GO CENTAURS!
