Almost every waterway in the Los Angeles County has been found to be contaminated with toxins, trash and pollutants at levels well above public health standards and Clean Water Act regulations, and 7 of the 10 most polluted beaches are in LA County.
The county and cities are in the process of allocating the needed funding to build and maintain water quality infrastructure needed to clean up our water. You have the opportunity to be part of this solution. LA County is developing the Clean Water, Clean Beaches stormwater measure to provide funding for regional solutions to clean up our water. County Supervisors need to see and hear from supporters now to move forward.
Make your voice heard at the County Board of Supervisors Hearing on March 12
Wear blue to support the Clean Water, Clean Beaches measure. You can meet us at the hearing, or join Heal the Bay staff as we take the Big Blue Bus together. Do your part to fight for clean water!’
