Antioch University To Celebrate V – Day

For the sixth consecutive year Antioch University is participating in the international V-Day movement to end violence against women and girls. This first night will be a set of monologues, which, in addition to featuring powerful pieces by women authors, will also include monologues written by and performed by men. “A Memory, a Monologue a Rant and a Prayer” consists of a groundbreaking collection of monologues by world-renowned authors and playwrights, edited by Eve Ensler and Mollie Doyle. Their diverse voices rise up in a collective roar to break open, expose, and examine violence at all levels: brutality, neglect, a punch, even a put-down. Join us for this only AULA performance in 2013! This year’s beneficiaries are Linda’s Voice and One Billion Rising. Be sure to see the listing for tomorrow night’s show too – the Vagina Monologues. $15 for a single show, $25 for both shows.
