Crime Blotter – Cars Crunch

Crime Blotter for January 21st through January 28th.
Hit and Run Traffic Collision:
On January 16, 2013 at 7:50 pm, officers responded to the area of Overland Avenue and Ranch Road regarding a hit and run traffic collision. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was driving northbound on Overland Avenue at Ranch Road when he was rear ended by an Acura. The victim pulled over to exchange information but the Acura drove off without stopping.
Car Burglary:
On January 21, 2013 at 7:15 pm, a victim called the police department to report her 2010 Mini-Cooper was burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 13100 block of Washington Boulevard at 6:00 pm. When she returned at 6:50 pm, she discovered her driver’s side window had been smashed out and her property missing.
Stolen Car:
On January 22, 2013 at 12:25 pm, a victim came to the police department to report her 1999 Ford Mustang had been stolen. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 5800 block of Green Valley Circle on January 21, 2013 at 6:00 pm. When she returned the next day at 10:00 am she discovered her car missing.
Residential Burglary:
On January 22, 2013 at 3:06 pm, officers responded to the 6500 block of Green Valley Circle regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she was in her residence in a rear room working on her computer when she heard a loud noise coming from her living room. She went to check on the noise and discovered her front door opened and her property missing.
Residential Burglary:
On January 22, 2013 at 8:27 pm, officers responded to the 4100 block of Vinton Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she and her husband left their resident at 11:00 am and returned at 7:30 pm. When they entered the location they discovered several rooms appeared to have been rummaged through. They checked and discovered their property missing.
Battery:
On January 25, 2013 at 3:40 pm, officers responded to the area of Washington Boulevard and Tivoli Avenue regarding a battery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she was in a parking lot when she saw two females unloading their shopping cart next to her car. The shopping cart then rolled and struck her car. She got out to talk to the subjects and they refused to give her any information since the cart damaged her car. One of the subjects then pushed her and the fled the location.
