Crime Blotter for January 7th through the 14th.
Car Burglary:
On January 7, 2013 at 5:55 pm, a victim called the police department to report her 2012 Acura had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 6300 block of Hetzler Road at 4:45 pm. When she returned at 5:30 pm, she discovered her rear passenger window smashed out and her property missing.
Vandalism:
On January 8, 2013 at 10:56 am, a victim came to the police department to report his business had been vandalized. The victim said he locked and secured his business which is located in the 5800 block of Washington Boulevard on January 7th at 7:00 pm. When he returned the next morning he discovered unknown suspect(s) had graffiti his businesses windows.
Residential Burglary:
On January 8, 2013 at 4:00 pm, officers responded to the 4100 block of Neosho Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; his wife left the residence locked and secured at 7:00 am. When he returned at 3:15 pm he discovered the window screen of his residence was on the ground and the window had been pried open. Once inside he discovered his property missing.
Street Robbery:
On January 9, 2013 at 11:06 pm, officers responded to the 12700 block of Washington Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was waiting for the bus when he was approached by the suspect who demanded his property. The victim said the suspect then grabbed his property and took it from him. The suspect then fled the location. The suspect was described as a male white, 30-35 years of age, stocky build, shaved head and wearing a dark coat.
Commercial Robbery:
On January 11, 2012 at 3:02 am, officers responded to the 5400 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was working when the suspect entered the location and brandished a handgun and demanded the money. The victim fearing for his safety handled the suspect the money. The suspect then fled the location. The suspect was described as a male Black, 20-30 years of age, medium build, and wearing dark clothing.
