How did Culver City get lucky enough to add on another Cultural Affairs Commissioner when the commission season was already over ? The resignation of Marilyn Musicant left a space open for John B. Williams, who graciously excepted the title. “Whatever I can bring to elevate the level of the arts in Culver City, I am happy to bring it.”
Williams admitted to having a grandson in 7th grade at CCMS who was one source of his inspiration to join the commission. “I’m a great believer in paying it forward, and I’ve had a great career that’s still cookin’ some wonderful music with some wonderful talent.” He is currently at work on a book and a new cd with his wife, noted singer Jessica Williams.
Cultural Affairs will be feeling jazzier with Williams in the jam.
