Lighting Installation Means Temp Boneyard Closure

The Friends of the Culver City Dog Park have negotiated a donation for security lighting for the Culver City Dog Park-also known as the Boneyard. The Friends of the Culver City Dog Park have committed a total of $35,000 for the electricity for the new lights.

As part of the first part of the project, the Dog Park will be closed on Monday, October 15th and Tuesday, October 16th. It is expected that the lighting will be installed in December. The City will send out an update at that time. If you have any questions, please email the Friends of the Culver City Dog Park at [email protected].

  1. I visit the Bonebone with my dog almost on a dayly bases. The light poles have been installed and everything is looking good; question, when will the lights go on? Please advise…Thanks, Denny & my dog Billy the Kid.

  2. From the estimable Vick Daly Redholtz – “We are all looking forward to the day in the very near future when Southern California Edison turns on the lights at the Boneyard. When they do, we will pick a date to all watch the sun go down and the lights come up! Then the park will be open from 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM daily.”
