The Motor Avenue Farmers’ Market invites you to our Grand Opening event on Sunday, September 30. The Farmers’ Market is open every Sunday from 9am to 1pm on National Boulevard west of Motor Avenue. It features the best of local produce as well as prepared foods and crafts from local restaurants and artisans, musical acts, face painting, balloons, and other activities for kids of all ages.
The Farmers’ Market is a collaborative effort of the Motor Avenue Improvement Association (MAIA), Faith2Green, and a supportive group of local businesses and residents including the IMAN Cultural Center and Barbri Prep. It was made possible with the help of Councilmember Paul Koretz of Council District 5 and County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas. The market will enhance the farm-to-table connection and availability of fresh local produce to residents in the the Palms, Cheviot Hills, Westside Village, Beverlywood, and surrounding communities.
In addition to fresh in-season fruits and vegetables, the market will feature many interesting and unique products from local businesses, ranging from hand-painted jewelry to cupcakes. Local restaurant The Vegan Joint provides breakfast and lunch options, while Sunflower Baking offers cookies and other baked treats.
Join us on September 30 for a lively morning that will include musical performances, a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30am, and raffle drawing at 11:00am.
New vendors are always welcome to apply for a booth. Please contact [email protected] to receive a vendor packet. For more details about the market, visit www.motoravenuemarket.com.
