Sad to note the passing of Bob Wassertheur, long-time Exchange Club member, former Culver City Police Department Sergeant, Chief of Security at Culver City High School, and more. Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, and before coming to Culver City served on the El Segundo Police Department. Bob, 81, in hospice care in Oceanside at the time of his death, is mourned by wife Darlene, sons Robert, Randy, Jim and granddaughter Audrey, along with stepsons Dan and Michael and step grandchildren Jami, Cory and Kelly. His sharp wit and – yes – sarcasm, provided many a laugh to Culverites who knew him. His ashes were scattered in San Diego this week and a memorial service will be held in Culver City, date to be announced.

Attendees will receive a handout package containing a summary of what each measure’s pros and cons.
