CCPD Reminder – Fireworks Ain’t Legal

No, no, no, no and NO

The Culver City Police Department wants to remind residents and visitors that the best way to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with family and friends is by attending a professional fireworks show. (And The Exchange Club would like to remind everyone that they have been doing a really good job with this for many years, so you don’t have to.)

The sale and possession of all fireworks is illegal in Culver City that includes the safe and sane manufactured fireworks. All violators may be subject to fines and arrest if caught possessing or displaying the fireworks. It is important that the public recognize the potential dangers in the use and handing of fireworks.

The risk of injuries especially to children and young adults are of great concern to the Police Department. So let’s have a fun and safe Fourth of July by obeying all laws related to fireworks and celebrate this special holiday by being responsible.
