The California Chamber of Commerce has recognized 23 local chambers of commerce with the President’s Circle award. The award, first presented in 2009, recognizes chambers for excellence in business advocacy and helping their members comply with California employment laws.
Culver City Chamber of Commerce one of only 10 Chambers to be honored all four years has been involved to advocating for business during the 2011 state legislative year along with being in the 10 chambers in the state to assuring their members are compliance with state and federal labor laws.
President Circle award recipients published vote records of their state legislators on key business issues, generated letters to state elected officials on issues of interest to members and participated in the CalChamber compliance product resale program at an exemplary level.
In 2011, 21 chambers were presented with a President’s Circle award. In 2010, there were 22 award recipients, and in 2009, 13 local chambers received the award.
Ten local chambers have received the President s Circle Award all four years the award has been presented: Greater Bakersfield Chamber, Greater Conejo Valley Chamber, Culver City Chamber, El Centro Chamber and Visitors Bureau, Long Beach Area Chamber, Napa Chamber, Palm Desert Area Chamber, Greater Riverside Chambers, Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber, Turlock Chamber.
