With a warm send off by the CCHS student body, the Bagel Bytes, as the high school’s robotics team is known, left for the World Championships in Saint Louis, Missouri. Led by team captain, sophomore, Arielle Singer, the team raised an impressive $12,000 to go to this event. Coached by Mr. Alex Davis, the team built an impressive robot for this year’s competition entitled, “Rebound Rumble.” The task is for the robot to play basketball!
Starting slowly, on the first day of qualifying rounds and facing teams from around the world, the Bagel Bytes finished the first day of competition with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss and ranked 4th out of 100 teams in their division.
