The Culver City Sister City Committee, Inc. won its bid to host the 49th Annual U.S./Mexico Sister Cities Association’s 49th Annual National Convention. Maybe it was a coincidence that the CCSCC is completing their 49th year as well.
Amazing speakers and topics are included in this convention. Visitors from many cities across Mexico and delegates from the United States will be coming together March 2-4, 2012 to live, learn and through the people-to-people experience of Sister Cities, work on citizen diplomacy.
For details on participating in the convention go to the CCSCC Facebook pages or the website, or go to www.usmsca.org and download an application. To attend you MUST be registered. BUT, a portion of the convention is designed to entertain. Come to the Town Plaza (park in one of the three city lots please) between 5:30-8:00 to enjoy lots of FREE entertaining performances and then go into the Culver Hotel between 7:30-11:30 to continue enjoying the acoustic group PIE.
Saturday between 9-12 and 2-4 there will be artwork on display and for sale in the City Hall Courtyard. One of the artists is from Culver City’s Sister City Uruapan in Mexico.
