The Blotter – A Small Sample of Culver City Crime

Crime Blotter for October 25th through 31st.
Stolen Vehicle:
On October 25, 2011 at 9:15 am, officers responded to the 5800 block of Uplander Way regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he parked and locked his 2001 Ford Truck at 8:30 pm and returned the next day at 9:00 am and discovered his vehicle missing.
Burglary from Motor Vehicle:
On October 26, 2011 at 12:10 pm, a victim called the police department to report her 2001 Toyota had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 3200 block of Roberts Avenue on October 25, 2011 at 5:00 pm. She returned the next morning at 11:45 am and discovered her property missing.
Burglary from Motor Vehicle:
On October 27, 2011 at 2:30 pm, a victim called the police department to report his 2005 Ford Explorer had been burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in the 6300 block of Slauson Boulevard at 1:30 pm and when he returned at 2:20 pm discovered unknown suspect(s) had removed his property.
Forgery:
On October 28, 2011 at 5:00 pm, officers responded to the 5300 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a forgery investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who told them the following; she said a male suspect entered the location and presented a check and identification to cash the check. The r/p checked the account and discovered the account was flagged. The suspect then fled the location.
Assault:
On October 28, 2011 at 11:25 pm, officers responded to the 5400 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a battery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was having a drink in the location when the suspect invited him to sit down with him and a friend. When he sat down the suspect for no reason struck the victim in the face several times. The suspect then fled the location.
Vandalism:
On October 31, 2011 at 12:15 am a victim called the police department to report an unknown suspect(s) had vandalized her 2009 Mercedes Benz. The victim said she parked and locked her vehicle in the 6000 block of Canterbury Drive on October 27, 2011 at 10:00 am. She returned on October 31, 2011 at 12:00 m, and discovered her rear window was broken out.
