Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas has announced his support of Nancy Goldberg for Culver City School Board. This endorsement, in addition to those of Congresswoman Karen Bass, and Assemblymember Holly Mitchell reflects the wide range of support candidate Goldberg has from the community. When asked about the most recent endorsement Nancy reflected, “I am gratified by the extensive range of support I have received during my campaign. I have heard from many former students, both near and far, parents of former and current students, old friends, members of organizations I have been part of for decades, neighbors, as well as past and present elected officials.”
Mrs. Goldberg went on to share her thoughts on why she has garnered such a loyal fan base, “Those supporting my election to the School Board know that I will always put the students first. Their health and safety were my main concern while I was teaching and continue to be so. This is reflected in my thoughts about the capital improvement projects currently being considered by the District. There are projects that must be completed so facilities are accessible to all and safe for everyone who uses them.”
Goldberg also added. “[My] supporters also respect my call for transparency in the decision making process which will enable community members to be aware of what the district is doing and where the money is being spent. Every project impacts the neighborhoods around the schools and that has to be considered when going forth with any type of renovation or construction plan.”
