Dear Editor- Please Vote

Dear Editor:
The Culver City school board election is quickly nearing, and we feel it is our responsibility as concerned citizens and parents to urge our friends and neighbors to vote. Our votes matter, and our schools are vitally important to the entire community as they help prepare our children to lead us into the future.

That said, we would like to point out that in our estimation, one candidate clearly stands out among the crowd. With one term under his belt, Scott Zeidman has proven his effectiveness through an impressive list of accomplishments. He played a significant role in the Measure EE campaign that raised over $6,000,000 for our schools. He rallied for the cap on enrollment size at the middle and high schools to prevent overcrowding and better control short-term and long-term budgets. Zeidman and the current board have increased communications and transparency with the community more than ever before. And, very near and dear to our hearts, Zeidman has been a powerful proponent of and voice behind the Anti-Bullying Task Force, the fruits of which are needed to keep our kids safe at school so they can focus on learning.

Zeidman deserves to be re-elected, and we need him. Please vote in November.
