Goldberg Theater Party at Actors Gang

The Actors Gang at the Ivy Substation will be the location of a fundraiser for Nancy Goldberg, candidate for Culver City School Board. Their new production of “Red Noses” is beginning soon and the campaign has the theater reserved for 8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22nd.

The show is a dark comedy set in 1348 France. The Black Death is decimating Europe but with little hope among the population, one priest attempts to make people laugh. Director Dominique Serrand chose to direct Peter Barnes’ play now because of its relevance to the turmoil and discontent currently existing in the country. He explains, “…we have chosen Peter Barnes play for its extraordinary sense of togetherness and optimism.” Laughter is contagious!

Dinner before the show is planned at Libra Brazilian Restaurant, 3833 Main Street, which will include a salad bar with over 30 hot and cold items, as well as 10 different cuts of meat. Prices are $35.00 for general seating at the theater and $50.00 for reserved seating (special center section). Priority seating and dinner is available for a cost of $100.00.

Reservations can be made before October 15th by contacting Barbara Honig at [email protected], calling Margaret at 310-836-6295, or sending checks payable to Nancy Goldberg for School Board 2011, P.O. Box 2981, Culver City CA 90231-2981.
