A coffee hour is planned for School Board candidate Nancy Goldberg at the home of the Martin family in the Carlson Park area. The meeting will be on Sunday, October 9th from 2 to 4 p.m. at 4219 Keystone Avenue. The Martins and Nancy invite everyone to attend for an afternoon of informal discussion and refreshments .
Diana Martin, mother of Nicole Martin, a former student of Nancy’s, explained that they are supporting Nancy for school board because, “She was so dedicated to her students and their well-being. The only item on her agenda is to do what is best for the students. I know she will be an intelligent, knowledgeable board member.” Nicole added, “Mrs. Goldberg cared about every student. We always felt that we mattered and had her support in all of our activities.” They encourage their neighbors to attend the meeting to get to know Nancy and share any questions or concerns they may have about the schools.
Nancy is vying for a seat on the board after recently retiring as a teacher from Culver City High School. Her many years in the classroom make her acutely aware of current issues in the District. She is looking forward to continuing her commitment to education as a member of the board.
