Crime Blotter – Spray Paint and Broken Glass

Crime Blotter for September 6th through 12th.
Vandalism:
On September 6, 2011 at 1:30 pm, a victim came to the police department to report his car had been vandalized. The victim said he parked his 2006 Lexus in the 4400 block of Sepulveda Boulevard at 9:30 am and when he returned at 1:30 pm discovered his vehicle’s doors had been vandalized.
Car Burglary:
On September 6, 2011 at 8:00 pm, a victim called the police department to report his 2006 Kia had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her car in the 9300 block of Jefferson Boulevard at 6:30 pm. She returned at 7:40 pm and discovered the driver side window was shattered and her property missing.
Hit and Run Traffic Collision:
On September 8, 2011 at 1:50 am, officers responded to the 4000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a Hit and Run investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; She had parked her car at work and was about to leave when she heard the sound of a collision. The victim observed a green vehicle driving away at a high rate of speed. She then noticed that her car had damage from being hit.
Stolen Vehicle:
On September 8, 2011 at 4:00 pm, a victim called the police department to report his 1991 Toyota was missing. The victim said he parked and locked his car in the 5600 block of Sepulveda Boulevard at 8:00 am. He returned at 3:45 pm and discovered his car missing.
Street Robbery:
On September 8, 2011 at 11:35 pm, officers responded to the 10700 block of Washington Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was sitting at a table when the suspect described as a male black, approximately 25 years old, 5”10, with a medium build ran up to him and grabbed his laptop. The victim held on to the laptop but the suspect forced him to let go. The suspect then fled on foot out of the area.
Residential Burglary:
On September 12, 2011 at 10:00 pm, officers responded to the 4000 block of Minerva Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officer met with the victim who told them the following; He left the residence at 6:50 am and his roommate returned at 9:00 pm and noticed a window opened and the screen removed. The roommates checked the home and did not notice anything missing. They were sure the windows were locked when they left.
