Woody Guthrie’s Birthday at the Julian Dixon

“This Land Is Your Land,” the 99th Birthday Celebration for Woody Guthrie Saturday will be singing, clapping and teaching on July 9, at 2 p.m. Even if you think you don’t know Woody Guthrie, you know his songs, and you have probably been singing them since you were small.
Join us for a very special musical celebration commemorating the legacy of legendary American singer-songwriter, folk musician and political activist Woody Guthrie. The performer is award-winning music producer and singer-songwriter Frank Fuchs who will sing Guthrie’s adult and children’s songs and play guitar. He will be accompanied by accordionist Carl Byron. Admission is free and children, families and adults are all invited to this exciting event. Following the performance, we’ll celebrate Woody’s birthday with a special birthday cake.
