The Culver City Friends of the Library invite you their Edible Books Festival at the library on Saturday, March 20 at 3:00. Create your own edible masterpiece, or just come, vote for your favorite entry, and sample the results. Entries should be brought in at 2:30.

The rules are simple: Just use edible (and preferably delicious) ingredients to create a book or a book title. You can bake a cake and decorate it like a book or, for example, make a little candy catcher’s mitt and put it on top of a piece of brown bread for “Catcher in the Rye.” Check out hundreds more examples at http://www.books2eat.com/Books2eat/albums/albums.html. Prizes will be given for: Most Humorous, Most Creative, Best Kid’s Book Portrayal, Most Delicious Looking, and Most Inspired.

The Culver City Julian Dixon Library is located at 4975 Overland Avenue, Culver City, CA 90230. Overflow parking is available next door to the North of the Library at 4909 Overland Avenue.
