Abbe Land, the executive director of Los Angeles County’s pioneering Women and Girls Initiative, Los Angeles County will be the featured speaker at the next HLA Democratic Club Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, August 7, from 7 pm-9 pm at Ms. Magazine/Feminist Majority Foundation Offices, 433 S. Beverly Drive Beverly Hills, CA 90212
The WGI was created to help improve the lives of women and girls through changes in policy, program development and strategic partnerships. Land was also a long time City Council member in West Hollywood, and has been active in local politics for many years.
