The Culver City Downtown Business Association is excited to present the Third Annual Downtown Culver City Independence Celebration on Sunday, July 5, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM on Town Plaza at the Culver Steps.
This free, family-friendly community event features live music, flag salute, addresses appropriate to the occasion, and Culver City’s third-ever aerial drone light show, bringing cutting-edge entertainment to the heart of the city.
Replacing the former Culver City Fireworks show at WLAC, this new tradition promises a vibrant, safe, and environmentally friendly experience for all ages in the heart of the city.
This year’s Independence Celebration will take guests on a journey through American history as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States. Through a spectacular drone show experience, attendees will travel across 250 years of struggle and liberation, including defining moments, symbols, and movements that have shaped our nation—from the Revolutionary era to the modern day.
The evening’s visual storytelling will honor the people, ideals, and milestones that helped build America, highlighting themes of freedom, unity, and progress. While the drone show’s imagery remains a surprise, guests can expect an inspiring tribute to the nation’s rich and diverse history.
