While Culver City certainly has international attention and plenty of cross cultural cache, the Culver Arts Foundation has big news for the creative community.
Culver Arts will welcome three international artists to Culver City for a special Artist Residency in November 2027, in partnership with the Arte Laguna Prize.
Based in Venice, Italy, the Arte Laguna Prize is an international contemporary art competition that brings together artists and creative partners from around the world. This year’s Finalists Exhibition and Special Prizes will be presented at the Arsenale in Venice on November 6, before the closing of La Biennale.
As part of Culver Arts’ participation, Culver Arts is proud to award three Artist Residencies in Culver City to artists selected from the Arte Laguna Prize: Yi Chiang, of Taiwan and London, Shirin Hashemi of Toronto, and Juraj Makarun of Rijeka (Croatia) will all be a part of the unique cultural program.
During their November 2027 residencies, Culver Arts looks forward to introducing Shirin, Juraj, and Yi to our community and creating opportunities for cultural exchange, artistic exploration, and connection here in Culver City.
From Venice to Culver City, we’re proud to help build new connections between our local creative community and artists from around the world.
More details about the 2027 Culver Arts Artist Residency, participating artists, and community programming will be announced in the months ahead.
