Postcards are Heading Your Way; Civic Assembly Participants Will Be Selected

If you are one of 10,000 Culver City households receiving a postcard in the coming days, don’t throw it out. The invitation asks for your participation in Culver City’s first Civic Assembly, focused on increasing public engagement in the budget process.

Thirty participants will be selected by lottery to participate in person over six days: May 14, 15, 16 and May 28, 29, 30, 2026. Volunteers must be available to attend all six days.

Selected participants will receive a $1,350 honorarium ($30 per hour for 7.5 hours per day over six days).
The sessions will be conducted by the Center for New Democratic Processes, a nonpartisan, nonprofit civic engagement organization selected by the City of Culver City. CNDP will not sell your data.

Culver City residents (age 18+) from a range of personal and professional backgrounds are encouraged to apply. No high school diploma or prior experience with local government, policy, or budgeting is required.
