Hank’s Organic to Open in Recent Co-op Space

The space formerly occupied by the Co-op  at 8770 Washington Blvd, Culver City will soon be home to Hank’s Organic, a family-owned organic grocery store and eatery.

Situated at the corner of Washington Boulevard and National Avenue, the new store will occupy the ground floor of Access Culver City, a mixed-use development with apartment units and ground-floor retail including Orangetheory Fitness, BMO, and Hot 8 Yoga.

The space, a 19,020-square-foot grocer with dedicated on-site parking, was formerly home to the Co-op, a Culver City branch of a Santa Monica organization located at 1525 Broadway.

According to Michael Pakravan of Matthews real estate investment,“Hank’s Organic was the ideal tenant for this location. Their commitment to providing fresh, affordable, and high-quality organic food makes them a perfect fit for the Culver City community.”

Hanks first site opened in 2021 on Imperial Street in the Arts District in Los Angeles, expanded to Malibu in 2024. Culver City will be it’s third location.

This transaction also included the transfer of a liquor license.
