The season ended strong for the Lady Wildcats on the soccer field. The team achieved a historic milestone by securing its first-ever playoff berth, since the program’s inception in 2008 and earned the Coach of the Year award, marking a defining moment in the college’s athletic history. The postseason match is against Golden West College on November 19.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Stephanie Banuelos, a WLAC alumnae, “the team exemplified resilience, dedication, and excellence both on and off the field. Their commitment during the offseason and throughout the regular season has paid off, setting a new standard for athletic achievement at West LA College,” said Anthony D. Jones, Athletic Director.
“This accomplishment reflects the vision we have for all our programs. Our women’s soccer team embodies what it means to work hard, stay focused, and represent West LA with pride. This is just the beginning—we’re ready to make noise in the postseason.”
