The Saturday morning protest in front of Culver City’s City Hall on August 16, 2025, had more people waving signs and chanting than the previous week; more and more locals are showing up to protest federal actions.
While the crowd started small it continues to gain size, topping up at about 500 people by noon. Protestors were on both sides of Culver Boulevard, and the meridian as well. Most passing vehicles honked in support, bringing cheers from those on the sidewalks.
Organizers worked with megaphones, leading the crowd with chanting, and a group of enthused drummers played back-up.
The signs were creative, and many in the crowd carried flags, including a flag for Ukraine, flags for Palestine, and the flag of the United Nations, signifying the international focus of the protest.
Another gathering is scheduled for August 23.
