Culver City Garden Club – Pollinator Plants in Your Garden

Culver City Garden Club invites you to its June meeting for a talk by Lisa Fimiani on “Pollinator Plants in Your Garden: Beyond Milkweed.” Think milkweed is the whole story? The Naturalist, LMU’s Habitat Ambassador, Restoration Specialist and Master Gardener will swing the garden gates wide open—with a presentation on the full spectrum of pollinator boosting plants that bring your garden to life with color, texture, and endless activity. Join us as Lisa spotlights the unsung heroes—from native wildflowers to nectar-rich shrubs and the surprising cast of beneficial predator insects that defend them.

Lisa is LMU’s Habitat Ambassador, serving as the Drollinger Environmental Fellow with the Center for Urban Resilience, as part of the Seaver College of Science and Engineering. She was also Executive Director of Friends of Ballona Wetlands for 7 years, currently serving on their Board of Directors, as well as formerly serving as a Board Member of the LA Audubon Society and Audubon California. A Master Gardener and Restoration Specialist, she’ll provide step‑by‑step guidance on attracting a wide variety of plant pollinators to our gardens.

The admission-free meeting is on Tuesday, June 2, at 7:00 PM, in the Garden Room of Culver City’s Veterans’ Building, 4117 Overland Ave. at Culver Blvd.

There will also be a Raffle, “Show, Tell & Ask” table and refreshments.

Parking is available both onsite and along nearby streets.
