CCHS Ranks High in US News & World Report “Best High Schools”

US News and World Report recently shared the Best High Schools scorecard in the United States – Culver City High School did well, scoring as competitive among the schools in the area. CCUSD Superintendent Dr. Alfonso Jiménez noted “While we were not at the very top of this list for area schools, we were within a percent and a half of the highest score in the area. The scores were based upon the following metrics: number of AP exams taken, passage rate of at least one AP exam, mathematics proficiency, reading proficiency, science proficiency and graduation rate. These metrics make up the scorecard used to obtain the overall score out of 100 points.”

Culver City High School came in at a rank of 94.11. They ranked higher than Amino Leadership (93.16) and Beverly Hills (85.81.) They ranked lower than El Segundo 95.61) and Mira Costa (94.36.) Whitney High School in Cerritos topped the list with a score of 99.91.
