CCEF strongly urges Culver City residents to vote YES on Measure O to preserve $2.45 million in critical funding for our school district each year, without increasing taxes.
Measure O renews the current $189 school parcel tax measure that was passed by our community in 2018. This revenue currently funds more than 25 positions, including teachers, counselors, athletic coaches, and classroom support staff, keeping class sizes small and supporting academic instruction. Loss of this funding would have a devastating impact in our schools, forcing cuts to teachers and classroom resources.
Measure O is widely supported by CCUSD teachers, staff members, and Culver City parents. The renewal of this parcel tax also has broad support within the Culver City community whose residents understand the value of maintaining a strong and vibrant school district. Our excellent public schools are a point of pride for our city and help keep our property values strong.
As you cast your ballots this election season, remember to vote Yes on Measure O, and maintain our community’s investment in our high quality public schools.
