Another 846 Units Slated for Fox Hills – Community Meeting Oct. 17

With the passage of the updated Zoning Code, the Fox Hills neighborhood is looking to be impacted by multiple new housing and mixed use developments, far in excess of building in any other area of the city.

Four projects are already planned, and a fifth development proposed for the former CVS/Marshall’s site at 6201 Bristol Parkway, increases the total housing units to 2901 units planned for the south side of Slauson.

As required, there will be a community meeting on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, at 5990 Green Valley Circle. People can attend the  meeting in person or virtually for this proposed 846 unit mixed use development.

Visit the developer website at www.6201residences.com for additional instructions.

With the city designating this area for 100 units/acre, it was predictable that developers would flock here, which is what is happening. Many residents of the area probably did not get a notice about this proposal, as the city requires notification to those living/working only 500 feet from proposed projects.

At the City Council candidate Meet an Greet held at the Fox Hills Park on September 22nd, the candidates that voiced support for lowering the density designation from 100 units/acre were Mayor Yasmine Imani McMorrin, Bubba Fish, and Nancy Barba.
