The “Meet & Greet” on Sept. 22, 2024 was so successful, it began early and ended late, with all seven City Council candidates in attendance and a crowd of almost a hundred at Fox Hills Park.
While not structured as a forum or a debate, the relaxed format may have persuaded many to attend; several people thanked the organizers – Our Culver – specifically for holding this type of event.
Jeanne Black, a part of the organizing team, offered “We announced the Meet & Greet as starting at 4:30, but people arrived as early as 3:45 — and folks were still talking at 6 pm. About three quarters of the people who attended [gave their addresses as being in] Fox Hills.”
With the election a little more than a month out – and early ballots coming soon- any undecided voters will be needing to come to their conclusions.
