When Assembly member Isaac Bryan came for a ‘coffee and talk’ event at the Village Well Books and Coffee on May 11, 2024, he wasn’t just there to listen to his constituents make suggestions about possible policies.
After more than an hour of conversation with people, Bryan took a moment to surprise store owner Jennifer Caspar with a Proclamation from the California State Assembly, lauding Village Well Books and Coffee for “honoring the community in a meaningful way.”
Caspar was delighted, and the accolade from the assembly member was received with a smile while the whole store applauded.
