Make a Plan to Plan – Community Meetings on City Parks

The City of Culver City is excited to announce the official kickoff for the Culver City Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Parks Plan! Culver City’s existing parks are in need of rehabilitation or redesign to better meet current and future recreation trends. The PRCS Parks Plan is intended as a tool to guide City decision-making related to parks and recreation planning, programming, and funding on a long-term basis.

The aim of the Parks Plan is to support a healthier lifestyle for the Culver City community by assessing current and future opportunities and needs. The plan emphasizes the role of these spaces in fostering community identity, protecting important sites, promoting education, supporting economic development, preserving cultural unity, and encouraging health and fitness. In order to complete this project successfully, it is critical that the entire community takes part in this process.

There will be three community meetings in May: two in-person meetings and one virtual meeting. Each meeting will include the same content, so feel free to attend the meeting that best fits your schedule.
