Wanna Make a Lot of Culver City Kids Happy? Backpacks Full of Girl Scout Cookies!

In the Culver City Unified School District, there are more than 400 students who take backpacks full of food home every weekend. With your help, they can also take home some delightful cookies.

While it’s almost the end of Cookie Season – the biggest annual fundraiser for all of our local Girl Scout troops – our Backpacks program is in action for entire school year. You could do a lot of good for a lot of kids by buying a lot of cookies from our local troops (Girl Scouts will be at tables in front of most our grocery stores this weekend) and dropping them off for the Backpacks Program at the office of the Culver City Middle School.

While we can’t ask the Backpacks what it means to be able to have groceries when they otherwise wouldn’t, we can ask out Girl Scouts what their fundraising goals are; when you buy cookies, ask the girls what the troop is planning for the future.

It’s a win-win-win. If you end up taking home a box for yourself, that’s a win, too.
