Complete Streets Community Meeting – Feb. 28

Complete Streets is an approach to planning, designing, building, operating, and maintaining streets that enables safe access for all people who need to use them, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities.

Culver City will be hosting an in-person meeting, Open House Style: members of the public may drop-in any time during event hours. Attendees will be able to circulate among several booths that explain the various components that make a street “complete.”

Substantial data shows that Complete Street designs result in fewer crashes, injuries, and deaths for people walking, biking, and driving.

With auto crashes being the leading cause of death for children in Los Angeles County, we urgently need to implement strategy that will address this crisis.

Attendees will be able to build their own Complete Street during an interactive exercise for kids and adults.
Public Works Mobility and Traffic Engineering staff and consultants will be available to answer questions and collect feedback.

Wednesday, February 28, 2023 from  6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Veterans Memorial Building, Rotunda Room, 4117 Overland Avenue, Culver City
