Culver City Democratic Club Judicial Endorsements for March Ballot

Following their January 10 General Meeting, members of the Culver City Democratic Club voted to officially support several candidates for LA County Superior Count in the March Primary Election. They are George A. Turner (Office 39), Ericka Wiley (Office 48), La Shae Henderson (Office 97), and Kimberly Repecka (Office 124).

The first three are running as The Defenders of Justice, a project to elect defense attorneys to the bench, which is dominated by former prosecutors.

These endorsements were made by a direct and secret vote open to all members, with a 60% majority required for endorsement.

A video of the club’s December program, which featured these and many more judicial candidates, is posted on www.youtube.com/culvercitydemocraticclub

Because judges are expected to be impartial, what candidates can say is very limited, and it can be difficult for voters to learn enough to make informed choices. The Culver City Democratic Club is committed to helping, enabling voters to see and hear candidates at our meetings and on YouTube.

Established in 1952, the Culver City Democratic Club is not only Culver City’s original Democratic Club, but it is also the city’s leading producer and publisher of political information and commentary. To learn more, join, or donate, visit c-c-d-c.
