Culver City to Celebrate the Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. with Community Service Opportunities

On Saturday, January 20, 2024, Culver City will host its Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service event at the Veterans Memorial Complex. The day will begin with a volunteer Service Project assembling care packages for Project HomeKey from 9 am to 10 am in the Teen Center.

Following this, the King Day Program will commence at 10am with a free pancake breakfast, resource fair, and live performances at the Veterans Auditorium. On Sunday, January 21, 2024, volunteers can participate in the Fox Hills Park cleanup from 8am to 12pm.

This weekend of events is held to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his commitment to social services and equality for all. The day is also designated as a National Day of Service by Congress, encouraging Americans to volunteer and improve their communities.
