The Los Angeles County Homeless Initiative (CEO-HI) is currently holding a series of community listening sessions to strengthen strategies for addressing and preventing homelessness and to inform our annual funding recommendation for homeless services and housing in fiscal year 2024-2025. So far, we have heard thoughtful feedback and input from people with lived experience, local jurisdictions like our cities and Councils of Government, homeless service providers, the Spanish speaking community, and Service Planning Areas (SPAs) 1 and 2.
While a complete list of the listening sessions is available on our website, this email provides details on the remaining Service Planning Areas (SPA) 3 through 8. We value your leadership on this issue and would like to continue to hear from you.
During these listening sessions, we will solicit feedback from diverse stakeholders and partners to ensure our updated strategies and budget are responsive to the unique needs and priorities of communities countywide. This year, our goal is to understand CEO-HI funding in relation to other homeless and housing funding sources and to continue to work together so that we can spend the most restrictive funds first braided with more nimble resources to improve our system. We would like to move towards using our most flexible resources, such as Measure H, as a catalytic funding source that can help fill gaps, expand capacity where needed and calibrate investments to maximize impact by anchoring to CEO-HI’s new framework.
We’d like to hear from as many voices as possible; therefore, we ask you to participate in the listening session that best meets you or your organization’s interests. All meetings listed below will take place virtually on Zoom.
Please register now using the registration link below to ensure your voice is heard. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
