September 12 just happens to be an auspicious day for Colin Hinckley. It’s the anniversary of his move to the LA area, the birthday of his fiancee Amanda Taylor, and now, the publication date of his first book; The Black Lord.
When asked about his creative inspiration, Hinckley offered “It stems from a dream I had as a child. I grew up at the edge of a forest in Vermont, and in the dream, in the forest – my friends were all looking out there – I had a terrible feeling of dread. I went up to my bedroom and pressed my back against the floor. I wondered what was at my window. That became the first scene in the book.”
Hinckley, a bookseller at the Village Well, gets to step into another role with his Sept. 13th author event. He will be talking about the creation of The Black Lord, as well as showing the two book trailers. A reading will be followed by questions and a book signing.
