Leadership Culver City – Applications are Open

Leadership Culver City is a one-day-a-month program for ten months that teaches leadership and communication skills and discusses topical issues to adults who live or work in Culver City.

Leadership Culver City is in its fourth year of developing future leaders for Culver City. This program is proud that its graduates represent a diverse cross-section of Culver City in terms of age, ethnicity and work experience who give back to their community through civic engagement. Graduates have run for City Council, served on City boards and commissions and served on non-profit boards.

The Leadership Culver City website (www.leadershipculvercity.org) has been updated as has the application page (Leadership Culver City Tickets, Fri, Sep 15, 2023 at 8:00 AM | Eventbrite) and the program is now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 cohort which will begin on September 15th.

The program requirements:
1. Open to adults 18 years and older who either live or work in Culver City.
2. Participants have an interest and curiosity in learning about Culver City in order to become more civically engaged.
3. Participants will also learn valuable leadership and communications skills in each session.
4. Participants agree to attend monthly sessions on the 3rd Friday of the month from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm starting in September 2023, and running through June 2024.
5. Class size is ideally limited to between 18-21 participants in order to maximize interaction with each other and outside speakers.
6. Tuition for the program, which includes nine monthly day-long programs, continental breakfast and lunch, and graduation ceremony, is set at $900. There will be a limited number of $300 scholarships available.
7. Participants agree to participate in a group community service project and during graduation make a statement of personal commitment to civic engagement.
