Culver City Historical Society past president City Historian Julie Lugo Cerra passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday, March 27, 2023. She was a long-time activist in the community; a founding member of the Culver City Historical Society, a trustee on the Sister City Committee board, and a former CCUSD School Board member.
Cerra was the author of a long running column, “Looking Back” in a local newspaper, and the author of five books on local history.
The City Council meeting on March 27 adjourned in her honor.
