CCPD Responds to Medina Lawsuit with Dispatch Audio, Bodycam Footage

After the wrongful death lawsuit filed against the Culver City Police Department by the family of Guillermo Medina, the department released a video briefing that included video footage from the responding officer’s body-camera, surveillance camera footage and the audio from the 911 call and dispatch center. The words “He’s got a gun and I’m scared,” are included in report.  

Adriana Medina filed her civil rights and wrongful death lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the fatal shooting of Guillermo Medina on Dec. 18, 2022. 

There are currently four independent investigations being conducted in regard to the incident, including the state attorney general’s office.
