The Public Works Department has begun improvements to the Jackson Avenue gate to the Ballona Creek Bike Path. While the work is in progress, the gate will be temporarily closed starting January 23, 2023 through February 1, 2023.
While there have been reports of someone putting a lock on the gate without the authority to do so, this is a verified Public Works project that will be installing bollards to improve access to the Ballona Creek Bike Path for cyclists using the gate as an entrance/exit point.
