Dear Editor – Plenty of Room

Dear Editor,

I cannot attend the parking forum, ( see culvercitycrossroads.com/2023/01/16/westside-urban-forum-talks-parking-jan-19/) but my 2 cents worth is that, in exchange for the new parking space exemption, developers should be required to provide frequently running jitneys to and from nearby transit hubs on their nickel.

We will all benefit – new tenants from not needing to own a car, existing older residents by actually being able to get someplace on Jefferson Blvd (for example). Perhaps you can pass this along to someone who is going.

Years ago, I heard a talk by Donald Shoup who wrote, “The high cost of free parking”

Culver City has plenty of room for more people – just not more cars.
